I often trade computer items on the internet, and as I was interested to know what the buyers would do with the various parts I sold, I started up a forum where we could keep together and share what we were doing with these various parts.

I saw potential to extend this idea to cover a wider variety of creative pastimes and so launched this site.

More than that, it's a general purpose discussion board with a family values bias.
